I received a email to complete a survey to win 275 dollar gift certificate, I completed the survey and did as requested several times and still not received confirmation on my gift certificate. I really like your store and would hate to miss out on this opportunity. Please advise me on what to do.

FAKE! Go to the Save A Lot facebook page, they warn you they have nothing to do with this "promotion", it is scammers or pranksters who are doing it! You can also just google Save a Lot $275 giveaway and you will get many hits, telling you it's fake and has nothing to do with the company.

The email is a fake. There is no $275 grocery giveaway!

Save A Lot is NOT associated with this false email at all.

They have sent out press notices, trying to get the word out, so as to warn their customers, but it looks like you did not get the memo, so to speak. Future-going, just remember, any promotion you see on facebook or in your email is going to be 99% of the time, fake.

Sausage Gravy In The Can Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I bought two cans of sausage gravy. When I fixed the first can, it had a funky taste. Threw it out. weeks later I decided to give it another try. Upon fixing the second can, it was no better. Will never try it again. Very Leary of using you brand ever again. They were bought at Save A Lot in Henderson, Ky. It is not the stores fault. It is your brand. NEVER AGAIN.

The drivers who deliver to Save A Lot

I live in Chicago, IL. There is a Save A Lot store right next door to me. The Save A Lot store address is 420 S Pulaski Chicago, IL 60624. On 10/31/2016 when I came home from work, around 7:35p.m. I noticed that the chain link fence on my property had been rammed in by one of the deliverely trucks that delivers to this Save a Lot store. This has happened before some years back and nothing was done about the matter. When it happened then, I had spoke with a District manager, as well this district manager came out to the store and saw the damage the driver had done to our fence. He then went on to say that Save a Lot will take care of the problem and pay for a new fence of us. But nothing ever happened. Well it has happened again and now after speaking with the store manager tonight, she stated they are not allowed to give out the district office number, so she gave me the Save a Lot customer care number, which I called. And they stated that my complaint will be sent to the district office through them, and that some one will get back to me within the next business day or two. Just want to let you Save a Lot people know that my next step at this point will be to get a lawyer and sue if the damage to our property is not taken care of within at least the next couple of weeks. In the meantime I will have a lawyer on this matter starting tomorrow, 11/01/2016.

I was in your store a 56th and vine in Philadelphia and was treated with disrespect and poor service as the cashier woman was very rude along with the security staff also your manager on duty done nothing to aid the customer and all parties need to be relieved of there duties and the security man who left his shift but gave me words as if they were going to do something to me, Your manager on duty stood there and done nothing. its crazy how service is like this with a paying customer. I would like the district manager of this store to please contact me. I am pushing for all staff including the two security staff be removed from this store this took place on 10/20/2016 at like 11:50PM

Save A Lot - Cashier Review

The store in Pompano beach is the worst. There is only one cashier in the morning. You have to wait 30 minutes to check out, but its overflowing with cashiers in the evening. People steals out the store all the time because no one is ever here to monitor. Poor Management

The reason there is so much stealing at Save a Lot is they will not press charges against the perpetrators. This is going go be the downfall of Save A Lot.

SuperValue has sold this brand to another company. Lets see how the new management team does with the rejects from Save A lot.

Save A Lot - Milk Review from Portage, Michigan - Image 2
Yes this milk is 2 days past its exp date, but what is that black stuff inside the carton? Ive had old milk in my fridge before, but ive never had this happen. These black marks along the side are very much on the inside and were not there when we purchased the milk. Ive even seen milk leave white rings around the inside but not moldy looking like this, and that milk was a day or two older.

Oh geesh..the grammer in this and the majority of these "save a lot " complaints are plain horrible, and most not only difficult to comprehend, but some because someone gave them or their kid a dirty look, or they did not like the way a cashier did not talk to them, or smile etc etc...if i had to deal with people like this day in and day out, im sure it would get annoying. Sometimes people working might be having a bad day, or not feel good. Maybe the store is understaffed and has issues out of their control, it happens people, get over it. I am amazed at how nit picky a lot of these are, if thats what they have to deal with, imagine the same cranky people not complaining online. ..over a look, them in a hurry, or whatever..they are human and things happen. The mold or bad products, yes this is definitely something to say and maybe warn others about, but as for people going to shop 5 minutes till close and the workers want to close up shop. .darn right they have reason to be hassled by you, not the other way around. People mad because the cashier didnt smile and say "have a good day" or whatever it is, and they feel they need to run to the interwebs to tell everyone is crazy. COME ON PEOPLE, get it together. Oh, have a nice day/ night ×smiles× Ugh

Treatment of Customer

I went shopping at Sav a Lot here in South Florida. Among a group of items I put in my basked, I put in two packets of chili sauce. The items was marked 2 for $1.00 on the shelf. When it crossed the check out scan, they charged 89 cents each. I brought this to the attention of the cashier. His response was that is what the scan says. He did nothing to check the price or anything, he just continued ringing up my items and told me the total price. I complained to the corporate offices via on-line complaint. It told them the store number, etc. Their response was tell us the store. They are just as bad with customer service at the corporate offices as they were at the store. The bad customer service seem engrained in their procedures.

Injury in Save-A-Lot food Store Gainesville Florida

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

While attempting to purchase two (2) 24 pack of Crystal bottled Water at Save A lot food store , 2609 N.W. 13th. street In Gainesville Florida.

As I have been purchasing this product for quite awhile , I knew that they were normally packed three (3) packs high in rows of three (3) , but they had moved the location of the pallet , which was usually on the left side wall of the store when you entered , to the far opposite wall

Unfortunately , the front row was empty , so had to try to slide the two that were on top of the next row , only two (2) high , I was able to get the first one without any problems , however , when I tried getting the next one , it would not slide off of the package below it , so , had to step up on the pallet to lift it off , but of course while I had lifted it with both hands , I had to turn around to get it into my basket .

Unfortunately , there was a small metal frame with the price card in it ,my foot got caught in the frame and I fell head over heels , landing on my left side , my head hitting the floor with a loud “cracking” sound.

A very nice couple tried to come to my aid , but I was not able to move . and I did not want them to try to lift me for fear of falling again, they did manage to get the manager, who was able to help me get back up on my feet.

He was very nice and quite concerned about my tripping on the sign ,

and had asked if I need medical attention , but I did not think so at the time.

The next morning I was quite sore and black and blue on my left side, but I had also hit my hip area which had been replaced a couple of months prior ,and was concerned that I had perhaps done some damage to it in the fall so went to my doctor who ordered a series of Xray's , MRI's and a cat scan which thankfully showed no permanent damage.

Since I had Medicare and a supplemental Insurance , I was completely covered , but felt that Save-A-Lot should have to pay some sort of monetary compensation for the negligence on their part.

After the initial contact letter informing me that an adjuster from the insurance company would be calling me to discuss the "incident", I had not heard from anyone else for a couple of months and when I sent an email to inquire about what was going on , I received an automated response stating that the adjuster , Sedgwick Claims Management , would no longer be handling my case , but would be handled by Gallagher Bassett.

Again I did not hear anything back from anyone, I attempted to call and email the new company , with no response , wrote another email stating that I would be hiring an attorney ( I am not a very litigious person , but had no alternative to their "waiting game playing")

I finally received a call from Gallagher Bassett claims manager informing me that " once I stepped up on the pallet to retrieve an additional case of water , I had automatically accepted liability for the action , and the store was no LONGER LIABLE, and offered me a "customer appreciation" amount of two hundred dollars ($200)

I spent more than that on gas going for all my doctors and MRI etc appointments.

Being taken advantage of by a new cashier.

This afternoon on 10/21/2016, I purchased $60.19 at Store #00277 on 6:04 p.m. with a cashier named Princess. While she was scanning my items, another customer came back to her, asking for 2 bags. As he gave Princess a quarter for the bags, she still added them to what I was buying. I should have pointed it out to her but I had the impression that a co-worker pointed it out to her, but she refused to do something about it. So I paid the entire cost without complaint and made up my mind to take my business to the Save A Lot in Bolton Hill. Princess didn't get that you don't charge one person for another person's stuff. That's not fair and Princess needs to be disciplined or terminated. That would be justice.

Save A Lot - Customer Care Review from Uniontown, Pennsylvania

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Have always shopped at save a lot walnut hill in Uniontown, this last year that store has went down hill! Always out of items and if there's items on sale There always out! The managers don't even socialize to you anymore! I would always shop with my mother but after what they did last week I never will again! She's in a wheel chair and not one employee on register would help her find an item she was asking for. Told her they couldn't leave there register and that they was short staffed and couldn't have anyone get it for her she would have to go herself. I refuse to spend my money here anymore! Poor management here! Would not recommend shopping here.
